Shellie + Francisco -- Part 2

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the ceremony and reception of the Santillan wedding! They were both short and sweet. The reception was lovely and simple with some very pretty details and they literally tied the knot during the ceremony.

It was perfect!

Oh, and the car was filled with balloons and covered in some questionable (yet appropriate) graffiti. The whole thing was so fun; I am so glad I was able to be a part of this special day!

Rattlesnake Saloon

We've been in Alabama now for about a week and I always wonder why I ever leave here. Except I just remembered about the humidity, so I guess that's why.

It has been so relaxing being here. We've been sunning ourselves by the pool, hanging out with our cousins, doing some antiquing, and just having an overall wonderful time. My grandparents took us to a restaurant called Rattlesnake Saloon a few days ago. The food wasn't very good, but the location was pretty amazing. The restaurant is in a cave. We ate lunch in a cave.
Here is the saloon, as you can see, built under the rock.
And a deer licked me! Deer noses are very wet, did you know that?
There was also a part on top of the cave that we walked up to. I got a lot of red dust inside my sandals in the process.
And here is my cute Papa.

We just got to Orange Beach, Alabama today and we're about to enjoy some white sandy beaches for the next few days. Forrest has never been to the gulf before so I'm excited to show him a good time (shark tooth necklaces, boogie boarding, and night-time crab hunting included)!

Shellie + Francisco -- Part 1

I photographed my first wedding (with some help from my superhero husband, Forrest) a little over a month ago. This wedding just so happened to belong to one of my very oldest friends. I have known Shellie since second grade when we met and became best pals, so it was very special for me to be such a big part of her extremely beautiful wedding day. Thanks again, Shellie, I loved photographing you guys so much!

Shellie was such a pretty bride and Francisco was very handsome. It was all beautiful and emotional. I couldn't believe how calm Shellie was throughout the whole morning even when she had to redo the slideshow as she was getting her hair done.

All of these pictures are of the wedding dress and of Shellie and Francisco getting ready (mostly Shellie, sorry Fran. Can I call you Fran?)
This photo is also starring Gracie the chihuahua.

Part two coming soon!
