Saturday's Harvest

The neighboring farmer told my parents on Saturday that he was done harvesting his field of green beans and that we were welcome to come pick whatever we wanted. Forrest took this offer very seriously and proceeded to pick (with my reluctant help) an entire five gallon bucket full of the things. 

The other field along the house is full of a much sweeter crop: raspberries. Though we had to pay for them (the injustice!), we walked on over to purchase half a flat of those as well. 

We ate some of the raspberries right away and steamed + froze the entire bucket of green beans. That is a lot of green bean snapping.. although I will admit that Forrest did the bulk of the work while I painted my fingernails.

I'd say that with the entire year's worth of green beans and at least a few days supply of raspberries at our fingertips, we are doing pretty well for ourselves these days, um.. agriculturally.

And as I'm never one to end a random post without a picture of our favorite pup, I took this rather Phantom-esque picture of the masked Jasper after I found him lying in some dust in the garage. He shook most of it off before I could take the photo..

Also, Jasper is not a fan of raw green beans, but did proceed to catch, chew, and spit out every single green bean end that I snapped and threw to him. He's a very trusting dog.

Shellie + Francisco -- Part 3

These are the pictures we've all been waiting for. A lady in Shellie's church was kind enough to let us take photos on her beautiful property. They have the prettiest woods and a gorgeous view of Mt. Rainier... which we couldn't see because of the clouds.

Shellie and Francisco were the most adorable couple, whispering and giggling to each other between shots and just being the cutest newlyweds ever. It made my heart so happy to see them so in love. I'm probably posting way too many of these, but I couldn't choose between them.

We stopped at Wally's White River Drive-in to grab a burger on the way from the church because we were all staaaarving (except the lovebirds who were full on love). We bumped into one of the wedding attendees who generously paid for our lunch! You know the nicest people, Shellie. The waitress also turned the radio to corny love songs and it was the sweetest. 

We just had so much fun shooting Shellie and Francisco's wedding. We were all cracking each other up the whole time. What with Forrest's silly antics and all of the awkward poses I made them do (not posted ;)), it's a wonder we got any serious shots.

Thank you again, Shellie and Francisco! It was a great and wonderful experience. The next time you guys get married, let me know and I'll be there, camera ready.

Shellie + Francisco -- Part 2

Here are a few of my favorite pictures of the ceremony and reception of the Santillan wedding! They were both short and sweet. The reception was lovely and simple with some very pretty details and they literally tied the knot during the ceremony.

It was perfect!

Oh, and the car was filled with balloons and covered in some questionable (yet appropriate) graffiti. The whole thing was so fun; I am so glad I was able to be a part of this special day!
